Marketing campaigns

Write to your customers where they look

A short message, written from your account, that arrives on your customers' loyalty card and on their iPhone lock screen. To everyone, or only to those it concerns.

Sending

A campaign in three steps

  1. Write

In the Campaigns tab, a short message: an offer, something new, unusual opening hours.

  2. Choose who receives it

All your customers, or a segment built on their real visits (Pro plan). The number of customers concerned shows before sending.

  3. Send

The message goes out to the cards. Your account keeps the history of sends and the month's counter.

Segments

Write only to the customers concerned

A message sent to twenty customers who no longer come is worth more than a message sent to everyone. With the Pro plan, you build a segment from what the programme knows about each customer, and you can save it to reuse it.

  • Activity: customers who have, or have not, come in a number of days you set.
  • Number of visits, to tell a regular from a passing customer.
  • Points balance, for example those close to a reward.
  • Rewards already claimed.
  • Level reached, if you use customer levels.

Automations

The messages that go out by themselves

You describe the circumstance once; the message goes out when it arises.

Birthday

A few days before the date, you choose how many. You can attach a real voucher in the customer's name. Only customers who gave their date of birth when signing up receive it.

Voucher about to expire

A few days before the expiry date of a voucher that is still active, the customer receives a reminder. A voucher used is a customer who came back.

Each automation starts with an editable text that includes your business's name. Automatic messages have their own counter and do not use up your campaigns.

Delivery

Where the message arrives

On iPhone, the message shows on the lock screen with your logo, then stays written on the card. It arrives neither by SMS nor in an inbox: it is the card that speaks.

Google Wallet cards do not receive messages today. The details, and what triggers the other notifications, are on the lock-screen notifications page.

Good practice

What gets a message read

  • A concrete, dated reason: "Saturday", "until 6 pm", "this week".
  • A single piece of information per message.
  • Two to four sends a month, no more.
  • A short text, which can be read in full without opening the card.

Questions about campaigns

Can I write to some customers only?

Yes, with the Pro plan. You build a segment from real criteria: number of visits, points balance, level reached, date of last visit. A message sent to your twenty inactive customers is worth more than a message sent to everyone.

Can I schedule automatic messages?

Yes. You describe the occasion once, and the message goes out by itself when it comes round. It is what keeps the programme alive in the weeks when you have time for nothing.

  • Birthday: a few days before the date, with a real personal voucher if you wish.
  • Voucher about to expire: a few days before a still-active voucher expires.

How does the birthday message work?

It goes out a few days before the date, and you choose how many. It only concerns customers who entered their date of birth when signing up, which means leaving that field active. You can attach a real personal voucher rather than a simple note.

How do I fill my quiet hours?

With a points multiplier on the quiet time slot, for example double points between 2pm and 5pm. Credits made during the slot are multiplied automatically, and the customer has a concrete reason to come at 3pm rather than at 1pm.

Guide: loyalty programme for restaurants

How often can I write without being a nuisance?

Two to four times a month is a comfortable pace, provided each message says something: an offer, something new, an exceptional closure. A message with no content is the surest way to get the card deleted, and a deleted card does not come back.

All the answers are in the frequently asked questions about the digital loyalty card.
