Wine shop and delicatessen
A loyalty card for customers who value your advice
People do not go to their wine merchant every day, but they come back for someone. The card rewards baskets that are often high, and lets you tell your customers when what they like arrives.

The trade
Few visits, a lot of advice
A wine shop or delicatessen customer comes for a meal, a party, a gift, or to restock. They do not come every week, but their basket is often high, and they come back where they were well advised.
What makes them come back more often is being told: a delivery from an estate they liked, a tasting on Saturday, the end-of-year products. The digital card provides that channel, without collecting a phone number.
The rule
Points per euro, and vouchers
With baskets ranging from one bottle to a case, points per euro are the logical rule. A discount voucher, or a delicatessen product, make good rewards: the customer spends them with you.
For alcoholic drinks, bear in mind that their advertising is regulated, in France by the Loi Évin and elsewhere by national rules, and that promotional offers on alcohol are often regulated too. A discount on the next purchase or a delicatessen product avoid the question. If in doubt, ask your trade association.
Example
A wine shop's points per euro
- €1 spent
- 1 point
- 500 points
- A €15 voucher
- Birthday
- A voucher in the customer's name
Example settings. You set the tiers and rewards yourself.
Messages
Announce new arrivals, invite to tastings
A short message arrives on the card and on the lock screen of iPhone customers. For a wine merchant, occasions are not lacking, and that is precisely why they need to be chosen.
- A new arrival, announced with factual information: estate, appellation, date.
- A tasting or a meeting with a producer.
- End-of-year orders, to be placed before a date.
- With the Pro plan, a message reserved for the customers who buy most often.
Long-term loyalty
Balances that wait for the next visit
- Points do not expire: a customer who comes back for the holidays finds their balance from the summer.
- Vouchers have the expiry date you choose, and an automatic reminder can go out before it.
- The birthday message can include a voucher in the customer's name.
- Customer levels tell the enthusiast from the passing customer.
Questions from wine shops and delicatessens
How do points per euro spent work?
You set how many points one euro is worth, and your staff member enters the amount of the receipt when crediting. A customer who spends 40 euros earns four times more than one who spends 10, which rewards large baskets. Points are rounded down to the whole number.
What is a voucher, and how does it differ from a reward?
A reward is a rule; a voucher is an item you give to someone. It is what you need for a goodwill gesture, compensation or a targeted promotion.
| Reward | Voucher | |
|---|---|---|
| What it is | A rule of the programme | An item given to a specific customer |
| How it arrives | The balance reaches a tier | You issue it from the customer's profile |
| Duration | As long as the rule exists | Until its expiry date, which you choose |
| Where the customer sees it | On the front of their card | On the back of their card, while it is active |
Can I write to some customers only?
Yes, with the Pro plan. You build a segment from real criteria: number of visits, points balance, level reached, date of last visit. A message sent to your twenty inactive customers is worth more than a message sent to everyone.
How does the birthday message work?
It goes out a few days before the date, and you choose how many. It only concerns customers who entered their date of birth when signing up, which means leaving that field active. You can attach a real personal voucher rather than a simple note.
