Loyalty programme for beauty salons: rewarding the treatment and the basket

A beauty salon sells treatments and products, at very different prices: an eyebrow shape and a facial do not weigh the same. The programme has to reward in proportion to the spend, and give a reason to come back between two treatments.Updated on

Treatments and products

Between a quick waxing and a package of treatments, the bill can vary from one to ten. A stamp card would put both on the same footing. That is the main difference with a hair salon: here, the basket counts as much as the visit.

Points per euro or cashback

Points per euro reward each purchase at its value, treatments and products alike, and are exchanged for tiers you define.

Cashback pays a share of each purchase back into a kitty in euros, usable at the till. It speaks to clients immediately, and tiers let you pay back more to those who spend the most. The kitty is a credit usable only with you: it cannot be exchanged for cash.

Levels for the loyal ones

Levels (for example Bronze, Silver, Gold) rank your clients according to their points. You name them and set the thresholds. They help you recognise the most loyal and, with the Pro plan, write to them separately: a preview, an invitation, a discovery treatment.

The rewards that fit

  • A short free treatment: a manicure, a hand treatment, a massage of a few minutes.
  • A trial size of a product you sell: it makes people want the full size.
  • A voucher in the client's name and dated, for her birthday or as a goodwill gesture.

Birthdays and key moments

The birthday message goes out automatically a few days before the date, with a voucher if you wish. The big moments of the year (holidays, summer, back to school) are an occasion for a message to the whole base: a seasonal treatment, a gift box, extended opening hours.

In the treatment room and at reception

The card is scanned at reception when paying, from a tablet or a phone. Each beautician can have her own account: the history shows who credited what.

Following the results

Look at the rewards used and the average spend of signed-up clients. Detailed statistics are reserved for the Pro plan. For putting it into practice, see the beauty salon loyalty card page.
